FamilyBike-Wadlzwicker loop, Wenigzell

The Wadlzwicker loop leads around Wenigzell, past the Sandicca sea buckthorn gardens. This is a cycle tour for the whole family on quiet side paths and without any major inclines.
It was not possible to find out why this cycle tour is called the "Wadlzwickerrunde". In any case, it can't be because of the gradients, because despite the small climbs, it is a tour for the whole family around Wenigzell. Perhaps the tour is called this because it is an extension of the Sanddorn-Runde and is therefore a little more strenuous. Starting from Wenigzell, the FamilyBike tour leads through the tranquil countryside to the Sandicca Sea Buckthorn Gardens and back again via the "Graben". The detour up to the "Bratlalm" is worthwhile, if only for the magnificent view.

The tour also leads along unpaved paths in places, but can easily be ridden on normal bikes.

Start: in Wenigzell, opposite the "Zur Taverne" inn

Marking "Waldzwickerrunde" or also "Sanddornrunde"

We start the Wadlzwicker loop directly at the Wenigzell village square (opposite the "Zur Taverne" inn) and follow the "Sanddornrunde" markings. We follow the road towards the village exit, pass the "Buchtelbar" and turn left at the junction with the main road.We now cycle in the direction of "Ratten", along the cycle path parallel to the main road. When the cycle path ends, we turn right towards "Sandicca Sanddorngärten".On the left, the path soon leads up to the "Bratlalm", where you can cycle the 300 meters up to the hut for refreshments. Otherwise, continue straight on.We then come to the Sandicca sea buckthorn gardens ("Kroisleitner farm"). Here we continue straight ahead, slightly uphill, on an asphalt road and now follow the "Wadlzwickerrunde".We continue until we reach the paved gravel road and then turn right in the forest and ride down to the stream. There we keep to the right and now have a slightly longer ascent ahead of us.Soon the forest is behind us and we have a wonderful view towards Wenigzell.

After the small hamlet with several farmsteads, we turn left and follow the "Sanddornrunde" markings again.Just 200 meters further on, we turn left again. At the junction with the main road, we turn right onto the cycle path and return to the center of Wenigzell.

Just after leaving Wenigzell, it's worth taking a detour up to the Bratlalm, where you can enjoy a hearty snack and, above all, a magnificent view.
