Pöllauberg - Pöllau
  • Starting from the main square in Pöllauberg, we follow the green "Hirschbirnweg" signs from the elementary school - we pass the Ölkreuz and walk to the Haubenwaller wine tavern, from where we reach the Retter Bio-Natur-Resort.
  • North of the Hotel Retter, at the Retter BioGut, we follow the signposts "Hirschbirnweg" and soon cross the Rauschbach.
  • Via the asphalt road we reach the bus stop "Oberneuberg GH Scherf" - here we turn right and soon come back to the Rauschbach and immediately afterwards we are south of the Retter hotel complex.
  • Here at the fork in the path, we keep left and follow the signs "Hirschbirnweg" towards Pöllau.
  • We choose the descent to Pöllau via the mountain forest directly in front of Gasthof Kerschhofer and walk past the parking lot with the sausage stand over the pedestrian bridge past the JUFA Pöllau towards the town center.

Pöllau - Kalvarienberg - Pöllauberg

  • From the Schlosspark (signpost "Hirschbirnweg" next to the Parkcafe), head east past the former Augustinian canons' monastery (castle & church) via Schmiedgasse to the traffic circle at the entrance to Pöllau-Mitte.
  • We follow the red-white-red markings no. 942 or the green signs "Hirschbirnweg" and "Wallfahrerweg Pöllauberg" north of the Raiffeisenbank over the Kalvarienberg to the pilgrimage church on the Pöllauberg and thus return to the starting point on the main square.
