Snowshoe hike Tyrnaueralm, Teichalm
The wonderful view on clear winter days extends far beyond the boundaries of the nature park. With or without snowshoes you can discover the romantic, snow-covered landscape and the quiet corners between pastures and forests.
The tour starts at Teichalmsee. Then it goes along the Mixnitzbach towards Schusserlbrunn. There are two options to get to the Tyrnaueralm, either via the "bridge" and directly up to the hut or, more comfortably, on the forest path. In winter, this forest path is cleared and is also ideal for hiking with hiking boots. Depending on the snow conditions, you will need snowshoes to climb over the "bridge". Once at the top you get a wonderful panoramic view of the Rote Wand, the Schöckl and beyond. The way back then leads back to the Mixnitzbach and out to the Teichalm.
