GenussCard Tour Pöllauer Tal Nature Park - ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee

The varied tour leads from the Pöllau Valley to Lake Stubenberg and back along vineyards above the lake - past many GenussCard excursion destinations and refreshment stops.
This tour owes its name to the GenussCard, whose included excursion destinations can be found in large numbers along the route. But the tour itself is also a pleasure! You start in Pöllau, pass St. Stefan and the Schielleitner ponds and reach Lake Stubenberg and Herberstein Castle. The highlight of this tour, however, is the ‘Zeil’ with its wine taverns above Stubenberg. The ascent can be described as ‘tough’ with a clear conscience, but the sensational view over the lake and, after crossing the mountain ridge, out into the Pöllau Valley makes up for all the effort.

There are no fewer than twelve ‘GenussCard’ excursion destinations on this tour: In Pöllau, for example, we can savour the finest gingerbread, freshly pressed oils or tasty Leberkäse, swim in the Stubenbergsee, play mini golf and stand-up paddle, as well as taste wine, whisky or beer along the way. Highlights are the castle and castle park in Pöllau, the zoo and Herberstein Castle and, of course, the Stubenbergsee.

Except for approx. 500 metres of well-surfaced forest passage, this tour leads along asphalted paths and can be ridden on normal trekking bikes without any problems.
