Weizer Almenland-Bike Tour, Variant 2: Weiz - Landscha - St. Kathrein
The Weiz Almenland Cycle Tour connects the district capital of Weiz with the Almenland. With this tour, a seamless cycle path connection was created from the Hungarian border town of Szentgotthárd (Raabtalradweg) to the Almenland.

Arrival from Vienna and from Graz:
- On the A2 coming from Vienna and from Graz, take motorway exit 161 / Gleisdorf West in the direction of B54/B64. Follow the B65 / Gleisdorfer Bundesstraße until you reach the B54 / Wechselbundesstraße. At the roundabout, take the second exit north to the B64 / Rechberg-Bundesstraße. After approx. 15 km you will reach the town of Weiz.
- From Graz via the main road: Take Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Kai and Wickenburggasse to Jahngasse / B67a. Follow the B72 to Weiz and take the exit towards Weiz -West.
- The tour starts opposite the town hall at the swimming pool in Weiz.
- From there, we take a direct ascent (Landschaweg) past the town hall and over the Weizberg with the striking pilgrimage church ‘Basilika am Weizberg’.
- Here we keep straight and come to Landschastrasse. Here we turn left uphill.
- From here we cycle to Landscha-Eben and keep straight ahead.
- We cycle along the Patschastrasse past the village of Hart.
- Shortly after the Patschabauern farm, the route continues to the left on a forest road over the Patscha saddle and on to Greith.
- The route then continues via Kogl to Zeil in St. Kathrein/Offenegg.
- There we can visit wonderful excursion destinations or simply take a cosy break in one of the numerous restaurants.
There are plenty of places to stop for a well-deserved break along the route.
