Hike… At 1600m above sea level, right on the VIA Natura network of hiking trails, you can hike through the most beautiful places in the Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen Nature Park on guided tours. The Zirbitzkogel, at 2,396 m above sea level, offers hikers fantastic views.
Alpine wellness for body and soul ... Find your inner peace and breathe deeply and cleanse your body in our Brechlbad. The crowning glory of a relaxing wellness day is our Holzschaffelbad or the pine panorama sauna with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. Our idyllic swimming pond provides refreshment after a long day of hiking.
Family holiday…Families and children get their money's worth in the Tonnerhütte. Feeding the animals, campfire at one of the fire pits, guarantee a real adventure holiday for the little ones. A guided full-day hike through the nature park with a free hiking taxi rounds off the holiday.
Culinary ... Pamper your palate with fine delicacies that the son of the house conjures up with his team. Here, fresh, regional products are processed into real Alm delicacies every day. For a holiday in an alpine hut or an apartment, the Almgreisllerei has breakfast baskets filled with homemade delicacies from the region. Winter… From the beds - onto the Skis, the in-house drag lift and baby drag lift is right on the doorstep. A snow-making system ensures optimal slope conditions, and there is also great fun with the unique BERGaufRODEL - sledge that goes uphill with T-barlift. If you are looking for something special, you can venture out on a ski tour on the Zirbitzkogel with an expert guide. A holiday in the Zirbenhütte is a bit like taking a break and somehow you have the feeling that time has stood still here. On the ground floor there is a living room, a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a cozy seating area. The fire crackles in the tiled stove and open fireplace and the cozy bed in the living room is the favorite spot for the whole family. The TV gets little attention, instead there are games like "Mensch ärgere Dich nicht", Monopoly, Schnapsen (Styrian card game), etc. On the upper floor there are 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed and a bunk bed. The wooden floors radiate cosiness and warmth and the scent of the pine furniture will enchant you. There are also two bathrooms, one with a wooden bathtub, toilet and washbasin and one with a shower, toilet and washbasin. Almost 70 m² hut atmosphere for your family or together with friends. In front of the hut you can enjoy a mug of punch or mulled wine in the afternoon sun and the magnificent view of the valley.

For 2 to 4 people The forest hut is 300 m from the center of the Tonnerhütten Almdorf and is all alone in the forest. 1 four-poster bed, 1 bunk bed, cozy warmth from the wood-burning stove, a gas stove complements the kitchen block, the fountain for drinking water and the morning "cat wash" is in front of the hut and at the same time cools food. The heart toilet belonging to the hut in the forest is only 22 steps away. Only the solar light reminds us of our technical world. We will always remember the vacation days in this lonely log cabin on the Zibitzkogel - guests often tell with sparkling eyes when they leave. Better to celebrate a small hut to live than a palace to cry.
