More information
Starting from the municipal office in Mürzhofen, we follow Wiener Straße in the direction of St. Marein. At the village square, we turn right into Kirchengasse, passing the church and the Antonibildstock shrine, then continue uphill until we reach the resting bench at Wiedenberg (Siebenkirchenblick).
From there, we follow the Wiedenbergweg, passing the Kögler (Spuler) and Moser (Zettelbauer) farmsteads, until we reach the next fork in the path. We take the left route, crossing the Schwarzkogelbach and continuing to the next junction, where we keep right and follow the forest road uphill past Vorder-Kienegger and the Schwarzkogel Chapel, then proceed to the sawmill and Hinter-Kienegger farmstead.
Just before the farmstead, we turn right, descending into the Mürzgraben. At the bottom, we turn right onto the road, which also follows trail 458, and leisurely hike out of the Mürzgraben back to the starting point of the tour.
Stop for refreshments at Turmwirt in Mürzhofen.
