This is an advanced tour with a fantastic view of Althofen.

On this hike you can really experience the nature of the Murau region. The summit victory is rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view. However, it is assumed that you have a certain level of fitness and endurance.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here and drive towards Murau. In Katsch in der Mur, keep right again and drive to Althofen.

Coming from Tamsweg, drive via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur) to Murau. Keep left here and drive via Schöder to St. Peter am Kammersberg. Continue here via Peterdorf to Althofen.

From starting point S3, first cross the Katschbach and follow the signs towards “Brechlhütte”. Then take a mountain walk along the road to the forest path that leads towards Laasen. There you pass the farmsteads cf. "Baumgartner" and cf. “Heller”. At the Laasner curve take the road down the valley towards Peterdorf. When you arrive in Peterdorf, go right along the Katschbach back to the starting point.
