hARTberg walk, Hartberg
Street art is mainly known from big cities like New York, Rio de Janeiro or Berlin. It is now an established form of art to design public space and thus make works of art freely accessible to the public. Thanks to the generous provision of wall space, Hartberg has made it possible for residents and tourists alike to enjoy so-called murals in Eastern Styria.

Our circular walk begins at the Sparkasse parking deck in Allegasse, where the first mural is located, near the tourist office.
From there we walk along Goldgasse and Wienerstraße to Hartberg's historic main square (parish church, charnel house and town hall).
The next work of art is not far away in the courtyard of the town library, from there we find our way through the town park (where the Reckturm is also located), past the monastery to the next location near the Pusswald restaurant.
We return to the monastery and take the green marked path to the tennis hall and tennis court, where the next spray art works are already waiting for us.
Passing the locations in Augasse, we photograph our way through in the direction of HERZ, where a whole series of artworks awaits us.
Now there are two options: Either return directly via Wiesengasse (past the city pond) in the direction of Hauptplatz or take a small diversions to the location at the practice car park of the Easy Drivers driving school.
If the tour was still too short for you, you can take a few detours to see the works of art in the
- in the Josef-Hallamayr-Straße 36
- at HHH Holz und Bau,
- at Andy Wolf's,
- near the Ökopark
- or to Baumschulgasse.
The start and end of the tour can also be freely chosen.
On your way through the city centre, don't miss the culinary highlights of the city centre restaurateurs. You will find nice places for a quick coffee, a cold drink, a sweet snack or a hearty snack.
On hot days you can cool off in the HERZ or take a short detour to the Hartberger Gmoos.
For visitors interested in history, we recommend a look at the old town centre of the small historic town of Hartberg.
