The Roman Catholic parish church Frauental an der Lassnitz is located in the market town of Frauental an der Laßnitz in the district of Deutschlandsberg in Styria. Until the end of August 2018, the parish church dedicated to the Motherhood of Mary (with the solemnity on January 1) belonged to the then-dissolved Dean's Office of Deutschlandsberg of the Diocese of Graz-Seckau, and since the dean's office was opened, it has been in the pastoral area of Southwest Styria. The church is a listed building.
Before being founded in 1958, the area of the Frauental parish had been divided into the parishes of Groß St. Florian and Deutschlandsberg. When the population in Frauental increased after the Second World War, there was also a need to rethink pastoral care for this area. Ludwig Glanz, pastor of Groß St. Florian, was commissioned to set up his own pastoral care in Frauental and to initiate church building. After the completion of the church building, the purchase of an own house, which could be used as a rectory after adaptations, and the establishment of a cemetery, nothing stood in the way of the rectory. Effective July 1, 1958, Bishop Dr. Josef Schoiswohl a new parish at the Church of Our Lady Maria in Frauental, which includes the following area: Zeierling, some houses from Krottendorf, Vochera, Laßnitz, Oberbergla, Schamberg, parts of Gersdorf and Niedergams, Freidorf, some houses from Laßnitz, Wildbachberg, Unterlaufenegg and Bösenbach.
In 2009 the Frauental parish church was incorporated into the parish association of Deutschlandsberg.
