However, the special feature of the Hofer-Mühle conference center lies in the atmosphere and charisma of the old, newly adapted building from 1584. The likewise young, car-free Rathausplatz around the conference center and our culinary delights of the restaurant "Mühle" contribute to a new urbanity at the country. The "Hofermühle" was built in 1581 as the mill of the Augustinian monastery of Stainz by Probst Leonhard Grasmayr in its present form. After the abolition of the monastery in 1785, it belonged to the Uiberbacher family and the Hofer family. In 1833, a major reconstruction by Johann Uberbacher.
