Following in the tradition of the legendary Marcel Prawy, Gregor F. Waltl moderates the program with wit and expertise, offering new insights into four centuries of opera.
A special highlight is the appearance of renowned opera singer Wolfgang Bankl (Vienna State Opera), who not only captivates with his powerful voice but also shares fascinating stories and insights into the world of opera.
The musical program spans from baroque masterpieces by Monteverdi and Cesti to classics by Gluck, Mozart, and Anton Halm, culminating in contemporary works by Werner Pirchner. The evening’s highlight is the world premiere of selected excerpts from Halm’s opera “Marvorio,” performed for the first time.
Following the success of Gluck’s “Orpheus” in 2023, the Anton Halm ChOrchester once again showcases its dedication to the operatic tradition.
