The Rough Nights last around 12 nights around the turn of the year. According to popular belief, the stormy powers of midwinter withdrew on the night of January 6, “the Wild Hunt” (went to rest at the end of the Rauhnächte: the Rauhnächte were a farmer's rule for the weather of the twelve months of the new year).
Solar torches, “incense burning” with incense expert Alexandra Koch, 2 drinks and a snack, music and a torch dance are included. The hike is approx. 5 km long and takes you from the Hofer-Mühle via the Rauch-Hof and the Bründlwald via Stainz Castle back to the starting point of the hike. A snack and a glass of Schilcher frizzante await you at the Hofer-Mühle. Good shoes and good walking skills are required for the hike.
The tickets are reserved for you with your order and payment and you will receive them and the torch from 4.00 pm at the Hofer-Mühle Stainz before the hike.
