Alpine loop to the idyllic Moaralmsee
Especially when the rhododendron are in bloom, this alpine hike is a real hit. The views from Kaibling summit, and of the rhododendron in their full glory on the slopes of the Kaibling Alm and along the shores of the Moaralmsee in the second half of June, are something you simply have to experience for yourself.
Alpine hike with peak victory (Hauser Kaibling: 2,015 m), magnificent 360° panoramic view of the Ennstal and one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Schladminger Tauern (Moaralmsee). Please note, however, that you cannot take this tour with your four-legged darling, as dogs are not allowed in the Moaralmsee area up to the Gumpental. We thank you for your understanding!

More information
Ennstalbundesstraße (B320) - Haus im Ennstal:
- Valley station Schladminger Tauern cable car (above the catholic church in Haus im Ennstal)
- Valley station Hauser Kaibling cable car (directly next to the main road)
The great difference in altitude can be comfortably overcome with the Schladminger Tauern cable car or Hauser Kaibling cable car & 8-seater chair lift Kaiblinggrat. The half-hour ascent to the summit of Hauser Kaibling (2,015 m) is full of views, the summit panorama is magnificent. The descent to the Rossfeldsattel requires some attention due to the Wurzelsteig. The same goes for the short, rugged passage on trail no. 45 to the Moaralmsee. This lake lies like a turquoise-green jewel in the middle of a magnificent high mountain scenery. Soft, green moss cushions contrast with the towering pyramid of the Höchstein - and during the Alpine rose blossom the contrast between the turquoise-green water and the red of the Alpine roses is particularly obvious. Take the same path at the foot of the Bärfallspitze back to the Rossfeldsattel, then over the Kaiblingalm and on the wide alpine path back to the mountain station.
Variant 2: If you prefer a "sporty" way back, ascend from the Moaralmsee on a narrow path to the Seescharte (no. 45) and then take the descent no. 780 to the Kaiblingalm.
Variant 3: starting from the Moaralmsee, trail no. 781 (beautiful alpine path) leads to the Oberen Moaralm and further down into the Gumpental (forest road). The hosts of the Stangl Alm spoil tired hikers with all kinds of delicacies. From there, the hiking cab will gladly take you back to the valley station of the cable car. Daily at 14.15 and 16.30 o'clock against advance reservation under phone +43 664 200 44 44!
Listen for the song "In die Berg bin i' gern und da gfreut si mei Gmüat. Wo die Almröserln wachs'n und der Enzian blüaht." You feel the song, when you walk this way in June and July.
