"On the rivers of Northern Europe" - a boat trip through the Baroque metropolises
On Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 20:00 in the parish church of Bad Aussee.
In the second concert of the Aussee Baroque Days, exceptional international Baroque virtuosos from the orchestras LES MUSICIENS DU PRINCE MONACO, I BAROCCHISTI, TONHALLE ORCHESTER ZÜRICH, CONCENTUS MUSICUS WIEN, among others, will delight us as part of the Accademia dell'Arcadia Turicum on August 10, 2024, also in the parish church of St. Paul at 8 pm!
Under the direction of Sabrina Frey, they invite you on a journey "On the Rivers of Northern Europe" with exquisite and well-known works of the High Baroque, which will inspire you with their diversity!
Many large rivers flow into the North and Baltic Seas, on whose banks important trading centers developed during the Baroque period. Combined with the wealth of the cities, a lively cultural scene developed that attracted musicians and composers from near and far. In this concert program, Sabrina Frey and her ensemble Accademia dell' Arcadia Turicum perform great works such as the Fourth Brandenburg Concerto by Johann Sebastian Bach, an overture by Georg Philipp Telemann, a harpsichord concerto by Johann Friedrich Fasch and double concertos by Arcangelo Corelli, who was active in London.
