Dr. Danielle Spera was born in Vienna in 1957 to a jewish father and a catolic mother and later converted to judaism.
After attending the secondary school for business professions in Vienna´s third district, she studied journalism and political science at the university of Vienna.
The former journalist and ORF presenter was director of the jewish Museum Vienna from 2010 to 2022 and has been editor of the jewish magazine "Nu" since 2018 and executive director of culture, media and judaism since 2022.
