Katrīna Neiburga immerses herself in the world of myths and stories of the forest, Krampus and forest spirits. She has chosen a traditional hut and the forest as the setting for her artistic exploration of the area around Lake Grundlsee. She encountered wondrous figures in the forest, including the Aussee native Burgl Schramml, whom she lovingly initiated into the secrets of the forest. Anna Fišere has composed the music for the film, collaborating with Latvian musicians and incorporating a variety of instruments. Together with musician Toni Burger, she will perform in the Steinarena at the opening. A visually sumptuous, ritualised film will be shown in the hut, combining an anthropological approach with a free imagination, a work based on myths, stories and memories that the artist collected in the region.

Art Your Village
This project deals with local identities, primarily within the smaller locations within the Salzkammergut region. International artists or artist groups engage with these locations and develop projects in the form of interventions over the course of the year.
