This is a beautiful circular hike with a view of the “TauernWind” wind farm.
Relax on a slightly longer hike on the Hohe Zinken and enjoy the complete peace and quiet away from the main road. Discover great viewing points and take in the picturesque landscape.
However, you also need to have a bit of fitness and endurance.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here towards Murau. In Niederwölz turn right to Oberwölz. Here you have to turn right again towards Lachtal.
Coming from Murau via Teufenbach to Niederwölz. Here turn left towards Oberwölz and halfway there turn right towards Lachtal.
Coming from Tamsweg via Ranten, to St. Peter am Kammersberg and via the Pöllau am Greim to Oberwölz. Keep left and turn into Lachtal.
From the large parking lot opposite the valley station of the 6-seater chairlift, follow marker 956. After passing a short forest you reach a gravel access road to the Kleinlachtalhütte. The gravel road leads past the Kleinlachtalhütte towards the valley station of the Zinken summit lift. Continue on the slightly uphill path to the mountain station of the 6-seater chairlift. Following the ridge running north-west over the Mittereck you reach the Niederer Zinken and past the mountain station of the Zinken tow lift, the Hoher Zinken at 2,222m.
