The small hospital church is located on the historic Meran Square.
During a visit to Bad Aussee, the Spitalkirche with the famous Gnadenstuhl altar should be visited. The main altar of the hospital church in Bad Aussee should not be addressed as the Trinity altar but as the All Saints altar. In the open state (Sunday side) it shows the mercy seat surrounded by apostles, John the Baptist and angels as well as the heavenly choirs.
This type of representation is probably a very early, if not the first such composition of an All Saints' picture.
The origin of the altarpiece is attested by inscription in 1449, documented in a letter of the monastery dated April 24, 1450 and goes back to a donation of Frederick III.
