The starting point for numerous hikes and mountain tours is the Tauplitzalm with its six mountain lakes. Surrounded by the Grimming (2,351 meters above sea level) in the south, the Tote Gebirge (largest Central European high karst) in the north, the Dachstein massif in the west and the mountains of the Gesäuse in the east.
