Start at the municipal office in Bad Mitterndorf in the direction of the west. After the bottleneck, turn left in the direction of Heilbrunn until you reach the "Kragl" turnoff.
At the pasture grate there begins the ascending Almgrabenstraße. Follow it up to the Steinitzenalm. A short descent is necessary to stop at Bernadette's hut.
Driving straight ahead you meet the junction with the hiking trail to Hochmühleck. Soon you have reached the highest point of the loop. Now the descent is not too steep. After the barrier, there is another climb before you finally meet the Ödensee road in the valley after a somewhat steeper descent.
In Kainisch at the fish farm of the Austrian Federal Forests you cross the Ödenseer Traun and turn right before the railroad crossing onto the >R19< to Bad Mitterndorf. Follow this to Mühlreith, cycle past the Jausenstation Stieger (petting zoo and fish pond) to the level crossing and cycle up to Knoppen.Since April 2023 you no longer need to cycle through the village of Obersdorf. South of the parish church Maria Kumitz, a new bike path was built next to the federal road B 145.Under the underpass you change again to the Laasenweg, which leads you to the Eselalm and the Steirerhütte.Immediately afterwards you come to the camping site.
Keeping left, the road then leads back to the center of Bad Mitterndorf.
