It is best to plan your journey to Bad Aussee using google.at/maps.

Start in the center of Bad Aussee - the geographical center of Austria. First follow the bike path and then the road in the direction of Altaussee. At the crossing Gasthof "Postillion's Einkehr" turn left and follow the road towards Lupitsch. After the climb past the last houses, continue on gravel roads.

Shortly after the edge of the forest, the gravel road leads left downhill in the direction of Leisling. Follow this road to the Agathawirt crossroads and continue along the footpath and cycle path to the market square in Bad Goisern. Through the villages of Reitern, Untersee and Obersee simply follow the bike signs and continue along the hiking and biking trail to Hallstatt train station.

From here, follow the Ostuferradweg (east shore bike path) to Obertraun. Past the lido, the road leads to Gasthof Koppenrast. Here turn left again into the Koppentalradweg. After the "old railroad tunnel" the path leads right up to the Koppen country road. Follow the road and past the Bad Aussee train station to return to the starting point, the center of Bad Aussee.
