Tauplitzalm slow train ride
TauplitzOn offer are slow train panoramic rides over the high plateau of the Tauplitzalm.
One of the most beautiful high alpine pastures in the Salzkammergut, the Tauplitzalm, is located at about 1,650 meters above sea level. Three of six mountain lakes can be visited during the approximately one-hour slow train ride.
On this ride you get a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. (Totes Gebirge, Grimming, Dachstein, Stoderzinken, Schladminger Tauern, Gesäuse,...)
The unique variety of flowers is particularly fascinating. From the beginning to the middle of July (depending on the weather) the alpine bush blossom can be marveled at.
From mid-June to early/mid-September, the young cattle enjoy the summer on the Tauplitzalm.
Slow train alpine tours from mid-June to mid-September every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 am from the parking lot Tauplitzalm, directly at the alpine buffet. On September 27, 2024, the last scheduled trip will take place.
Group tours possible at any time by appointment.
Should the Hüttner family not have a suitable free date, the Hierzegger family also offers slow train rides across the high plateau.
