Theme trail Augstbach

The varied "Augstbach Theme Trail" is available for hiking or biking. Young and old are cordially invited to discover the unique theme and adventure trail around the topic of forests and protection against natural hazards!
The trail runs parallel to the Augstbach stream and along torrent & avalanche structures. The entry point is located in the center of Altaussee. The end point forms a transition to the hiking trails "Via Salis" and "Via Artis". Along the trail, 14 exciting and carefully designed stations with display boards, games and other attractions await visitors.

The trail leads from the parking lot to the left to the intersection at Café Maislinger. Here continue right along the Augstbach in the direction of the Loser Skiarena. After about 500 m turn right into the themed trail. Follow the gravelled path until you reach the Scheiben torrent retention basin.
