Fishing in "Styrian Canada
Of course, in the Gesäuse only water is used for cooking, but just in there one or the other little animal can be found, which makes the heart of the salmonid friends beat faster. Wild fish from A for grayling to R for rainbow trout are just waiting to be discovered by the common fly fisherman. Thereby the scaled comrades leave nothing to be desired neither in stock nor in body size. The chance to land a really big fish at least once in your life!
All this takes place on a fly route, which has itself washed: On 8 kilometers long, far away from any road and civilization noise, you will find quiet zones and deep gullies as well as beautiful trickling stretches. The gorge and a short backwater at the end of the area complete this dream come true for every fisherman. You will make googly eyes! But the Gesäuse would not be the Gesäuse if it were satisfied with that alone, no! Because in addition to the sheer perfect fishing conditions, the Styrian Eisenwurzen Nature Park and Gesäuse National Park are quasi neighbors here, once again showing off their fabulous landscapes. Between deep green forests, towering rock giants and emerald glittering water, no (fish) eye remains dry. Trout or Huchen, one thing is certain: The jump into the cold water definitely pays off here!
