In a region where the philosophy is that every village needs a ski lift so that every inhabitant of the Gesäuse can learn how to ski, you will naturally find the necessary slopes for waving down the mountain and practicing skiing (New German: Pizzastück). And this not only gives strength to the thighs, but also the clouded winter mood is simply blown away by such a trip to the ski slopes.
The Kaiserau is the perfect place for skiing and snowboarding. Arriving at the parking lot, you immediately see what awaits you on the beautifully situated high plateau: Namely drag lifts, a platter lift and magic carpets for the little ones. Here the whole family will find their affordable skiing pleasure. In addition, non-skiers can opt for cross-country skiing, a toboggan ride from the Klinkehütte, a simple winter walk or a stop at the Sportalm Kaiserau. The panorama with the majestic Admont Kalbling makes every activity a winter delight. For those who are still at the bottom of the skiing ladder, coaching at the only ski school in the Gesäuse will help. Equipment can also be borrowed here, of course.
