HWW-Bicycle route: Rohrbach/Lafnitz - Kroisbach - Stögersbach - Ehrenschachen - Kroisbach (circular trail)
This HWW cycle route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.
This HWW cycle route (circular cycle route) leads from Rohrbach/Lafnitz via Kroisbach, Dechantskirchen, Stögersbach to Ehrenschachen and from there via Kroisbach back to Rohrbach/Lafnitz. Along the HWW cycle route, you pass the Kroisbach/Wasserschlössl HWW station, where you can learn about the original legal significance of the hill at the Wasserschlössl.

Arrival by car
- Follow the highway A2.
- Take the exit 115 Hartberg.
- Turn left onto the B54 and follow the signs towards Lafnitz.
- Drive through the village of Lafnitz and continue on the B54 for about 8 km.
- Turn left onto the L408 in the direction of Rohrbach.
- After about 3 km you will reach Rohrbach an der Lafnitz.
The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.
- The route starts in Rohrbach/Lafnitz.
- The route continues from Rohrbach/Lafnitz to Kroisbach.
- The ride continues to Dechantskirchen.
- The route continues from Dechantskirchen to Stögersbach.
- You then reach the pretty village of Ehrenschachen.
- The way back leads via Kroisbach.
- The tour ends in Rohrbach an der Lafnitz.
We recommend visiting the outside of Thalberg Castle in Dechantskirchen, where you will also find an HWW information board next to the entrance.
