Events in Hochsteiermark

There’s always something going on in Hochsteiermark. The region boasts a wealth of events for all ages.

For instance, you can buy traditional products at the region’s Easter Markets. In summer, you can visit a music festival. In September, young guests can meet witches and other mysterious creatures in the Steirische Zauberwald magic forest. In early December, the Rotsohler Krampus (the frightening companion of Saint Nicholas) will give young (and not so young) visitors of St. Barbara the creeps. To get into the Christmas mood, visit Mariazeller Advent and marvel at the world’s largest suspended advent wreath.
