In 2008 the park was completely renovated and provided with information about Peter Rosegger and the walking and hiking trails starting from the Rosegger Park.
The Rosegger Park in the center of Krieglach was built in 1937. In the centre there is the sculpture 'When I was still the forest farmer's boy ...' by Paul Kassecker. The sculpture shows the young Peterl how he tends his sheeps while he is looking in the sky. In 2008 the park was completely renovated and provided with information about Peter Rosegger and the walking and hiking trails starting from the Rosegger Park. 5 panels arranged in a semicircle contain information about and sayings by Peter Rosegger, which are assigned to the 4 seasons and the respective phases of the poet's life.
The Roseggerpark is freely accessible all year round!
