Hike through the Mürztal StreuObstRegion on the 3-valley hiking trail between the Stanzer Sonnenweg and the Kultsteinwegen near Mürzhofen. Enjoy the wonderful view of the extensive orchard meadows with their mighty fruit trees and look out over the region's mountain pastures. Directions to Stanz: Take the S6 highway, exit Kinderdörfl, and follow the signs to Stanz im Mürztal.
Directions to Allerheiligen: Take the S6 highway, exit Allerheiligen/Mürzhofen, and follow the signs to Allerheiligen.
The starting point of the 3-Valley Hiking Trail is Ulrich’s Church along the Stanzer Sonnenweg. From there, we follow the state road, an old pilgrimage route, towards Edelsdorf, passing through the Stanzertal valley. Here, we find the first rest stop: the inn "Hanslwirt" in Edelsdorf. We continue along the road towards Allerheiligen until we reach the former Zöscher Inn. At this point, we turn left and hike uphill towards the organic mountain farm Eckbauer. The Meisenbichler family, known as Eckbauer, offers herbal hikes and a visit to the herbal horoscope, as well as archery on a 3D course, upon request.
We continue our tour to the Helfenegger farm, hike downhill along the road, and reach Jasnitz. After a refreshing stop at Gasthaus Reitbauer, we continue towards Allerheiligen. We take a short break at Sauerbrunn' and then proceed to Gernhof. After 30 meters, we turn left and follow the long-distance hiking trail 718. This path leads us through stunning forest trails to beautiful viewpoints overlooking the Lower Mürztal, until we reach the "Oachberger" hut. There, we turn right, leave the long-distance trail, and follow the forest road until the junction leading to Gasthaus Hochreiter. We follow the road through the Sölsnitzgraben valley until we reach the village center of Sölsnitz.
In Sölsnitz, our StreuObstWirt "Sepplwirt" welcomes us for a rest. He delights us with his lamb specialties from his own farm.
From Sölsnitz, we head back towards Allerheiligen. Along the way, we pass the Weissenbacher family farm, home to the Streuobst Competence Center. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy local farm specialties here. Opening hours can be found at www.streuobsthof.at.
We continue our tour, following the road towards the village center of Allerheiligen, our final destination.
Of course, we can also hike this route in the opposite direction.
Arrival by Train: Take the train to Allerheiligen/Mürzhofen station.
Arrival by Bus: From there, take a bus towards Stanz.
