From the Old Town to the Nature Conservation Center Weitental - Schweizeben
From the main square, first walk through the Old Town / Roseggerstraße to the Europabrücke. Cross over and go below the new roundabout (marked passage) into Weitental.
From here, you can either head directly to the wildlife rescue station at the Nature Conservation Center, or follow the marked forest road past the abandoned Kalvarienbergkirche towards Schweizeben.
Return via the same route.

From Vienna via A2 – Südautobahn and S6 – Semmering Expressway, take the Bruck an der Mur exit. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit towards Leoben. After 100 meters, turn left at the first traffic light (signpost “Weitental”).
Now, keep right and go through a railway and highway underpass, passing the cemetery, and reach the parking lot at the beginning of Weitental.

From Graz, take A9 – Phyrnautobahn and S35 – Brucker Expressway to the Bruck an der Mur exit. Follow the same directions as above.
From the West (Linz, Salzburg, Germany) via A9 – Phyrnautobahn and S6 – Semmering Expressway, take the Bruck West exit. Turn left at the roundabout near a furniture store. Continue right through the Bruck district of Oberaich, heading towards the roundabout mentioned earlier. At the traffic light, turn right (signpost “Weitental”) and continue as above.
Main Square / Kornmesserhaus - Roseggerstraße - Europabrücke - Roundabout Bruck Süd - Weitental / Stadtwaldstraße - Schweizeben.
If there is enough snow, be sure to bring a sled or toboggan. From Schweizeben, you can easily slide down into Weitental.
Bruck an der Mur is easily accessible by both train and bus.
