From the town hall, our path leads through the castle gate, Schlossallee - motorway subway, further on we have to turn left, past Oberkindberg Castle and above the Kreutzer settlement we turn right into a forest path and walk up the steep path (‘Herzlfresserweg’), past the historic ‘Herzlfressermarterl’ (extraordinary history). Continue in the direction of ‘Grüblbauer’ (short, steep hollow path), then cross a forest road and follow a forest path across meadows past the farmers ‘Hobischer - Gruber’ and ‘Blasbauer’ until you reach the road. Here we turn left and follow the forest road to the Alpengasthof ‘Pölzl’.
At the ‘Pölzl’ farm, we turn right and follow the Alpine Club trail no. 470 past the Maurerkreuz to the Troiseck summit at 1466 metres.
We take the same route back to the Alpengasthof ‘Pölzl’ and from here to Kindberg or from the Alpengasthof ‘Pölzl’ along the road to Möstlingmüller and through the Möstlinggraben to Kindberg.
The charming little town of Kindberg with its well-kept town houses and diverse floral decorations is also worth a visit.
Let the mushroom farmer at Alpengasthof Pölzl tell you the spooky story of the heart-eater!
