From Mürzzuschlag to Neuberg an der Mürz.
From the cathedral, we follow the path to the Schäffer inn and on to the Kalvarienberg (marvellous view of the monastery and the cathedral). Continue across the meadow above the cathedral in the direction of Rabenstein (prominent tree on the upper edge of the meadow with information board). Follow the path uphill over a few hairpin bends on the Rabenstein to the junction with the first forest path. Now keep left and continue slightly downhill to a rock face on the right of the path. Here the forest path turns right, to the left below the path is the Sisistein, surrounded by 2 chestnut trees and 2 beech trees.
From the Sisistein we follow the path slightly downhill to the Eichtfeldweg and further downhill to the Wiesenweg. This leads us to Neuberg and from there along the main road back to the starting point.

This short hike is ideal for combining with a visit to the cathedral, the Kaiserhof glass manufactory and the nature museum (reopening in 2025).
