Wulfingweg: The panoramic circular trail of the city of Kapfenberg
On the panoramic circular trail, not only can you enjoy the magnificent view of the entire Mürztal valley, but there are also plenty of things for our little guests to discover at the Prieselbauer stop. The large, expansive children’s playground, a petting zoo, and a wildlife enclosure offer great fun for families.
Also worth seeing for both young and old is the children’s museum at Oberkapfenberg Castle. In the secret Alchemist's Cave, you can meet the castle’s alchemist and perhaps learn the secret of gold-making. Find the "Philosopher's Stone" and take a pinch of the magical powder home with you.
Every visitor, both young and old, also has the chance to feel the weight of a suit of armor on their own shoulders.
At the castle, you can also visit the fantastic multi-media exhibition "Grenzgänge", a time journey with knights and alchemists.
An absolute highlight is the bird of prey flight show at the castle falconry!

From Graz/Vienna: Take the S6 motorway exit for Kapfenberg.
Drive towards the city center and turn left at the third traffic light (intersection at Alpenstadion). After that, drive over the bridge and turn left again at the Sporthotel. Continue following the road until you reach Waldcafe Harrer. From there, the road leads left up to Oberkapfenberg Castle.
We start at Oberkapfenberg Castle, either via the Loretto Chapel or along Burgstraße. At the "Kehr", we have the option to turn right, then go left uphill through the forest, followed by a right turn (downhill!) and continue on to Prieselbauer.
The second option is to take the marked road directly towards Prieselbauer. After Prieselbauer, we turn left, passing between the enclosures towards Bergerbauer. From Bergerbauer, we walk a short distance back along the road and then turn right (lower path) towards the small mill. From there, we head up the forest road to the treehouse. At the treehouse, we turn right onto Pulverturmweg, then take another right turn and follow the path through the hollow until we reach the asphalted new Burgstraße (already visible). From there, we walk uphill back to the castle.
