Although the training trail is relatively short, it offers fantastic views of the municipality of Neumarkt. If you feel like it, you can join the adjacent Kleine Kalkbergloipe.

By car from Germany
From Munich via the A8 towards Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A10 Tauernautobahn to St. Michael im Lungau. Take the B 96 to Tamsweg, then continue on the B 95 to Predlitz. The B 97 leads via Stadl/Mur to Murau. At the traffic circle there, turn right towards St. Lambrecht as far as Murau railroad station and continue left over the level crossing towards St. Lambrecht. Via Laßnitz near Murau you reach St. Lambrecht, which is already in the nature park. On the main road from St. Lambrecht to Mariahof, drive through the village of St. Blasen on the main road and turn right towards Schilcherhof approx. 1km after the town sign, shortly after the bridge.
Arrival from Eastern Austria/Hungary
At the highway junction in St. Michael bei Leoben, take the S 36 towards Klagenfurt. Drive past Knittelfeld and Judenburg to Scheifling. In Scheifling continue in the direction of Klagenfurt to Neumarkt, via Unzmarkt and Perchau am Sattel you reach Neumarkt. There turn right towards Murau, in Mariahof after the railroad crossing turn left towards St. Lambrecht. On the main road to St. Lambrecht, turn left towards Schilcherhof after the incline (before the bridge).
Arrival from southern Austria / Italy
Via Klagenfurt on the S 37 past St. Veit/Glan, Treibach and Friesach. In Friesach continue in the direction of Vienna, via Dürnstein and Wildbad to Neumarkt. After the town center turn left towards Murau, in Mariahof turn left after the railroad crossing towards St. Lambrecht. On the main road to St. Lambrecht, turn left towards Schilcherhof after the incline (before the bridge).
The starting point for this trail is the Schilcherhof. Behind the Schilcherhof, the trail heads south uphill towards Podolerhof and Lindner. You then glide gently downhill back towards the Schilcherhof.
The ideal time for this cross-country skiing route is from December to March.
