OUR FORESTS & HILLS

So many ways to fall in love, but we also place great emphasis on enjoyment. At every stop there is a local specialty, the hosts and producers ensure the best quality

The Oststeirisches Hügelland, also known as Oststeirisches Riedelland, is part of the Alpine foothills. This landscape is characterized by rolling hills (called Riedel), which are interrupted by the Raabtal, the Feistritztal and the Lafnitztal. This landscape is predestined for leisurely hikes through mixed forests, across orchards and to attractive vantage points.

Eastern Styria is a real hiker's paradise where you can discover places with views, refreshment stops and uniqueness. See for yourself and find out more at our local offices.

HIKEABLE EASTERN STYRIA

Every season has its charm and every hike its character. All year round, you can discover the whole of Eastern Styria by hiking to your heart's content. In winter, in addition to winter sports, there are also opportunities for winter and snowshoe hiking, although there can be big differences between the mountain and hill country due to snow and weather conditions.

In short: there is no "best" season in Eastern Styria - we hike all year round!
