Visible from afar, on a plateau above the village stands the baroque church of St. Ruprecht an der Raab, dedicated to St. Rupert (September 24th, patronage). It was built between 1728 and 1737 by Fidelis Hainzel based on a drawing made by the local master mason Lorenz Statthaler.
The previous building was almost completely demolished. The Catholic church was originally probably made of a simple wooden structure. A Romanesque church was built around 1050, the choir walls of which came to light during the renovation in 1991. In 1505 a Gothic church with two rows of columns was built. In 1728 the current baroque church was rebuilt. The interior of the church was completely renovated in 1991/92 under Pastor Kober.
Most of the interior of the church comes from the late baroque period. Around seven altars were erected. The 18th century picture of the church patron hangs on the high altar. The four wall altars in the side chapels are remarkable. Also noteworthy are the lavishly and figuratively furnished pulpit, the galleries parapet, their grilles, the baptismal font and two richly inlaid confessionals adorned with figures and tablets.
