HWW-Hiking route: Dechantskirchen - Heiligenbrunn - Kroisbach (circular trail)
This HWW hiking route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.
This HWW hiking route runs from Dechantskirchen to Thalberg, Limbach and Heiligenbrunn and from there via Kroisbach back to Dechantskirchen. The special significance of Dechantskirchen and Thalberg Castle can be explored as part of this RWW. The Christianization of Wechselland is explained at the HWW station Dechantskirchen/Kirche 2, as it is the oldest parish church in Wechselland.

Directions - By car
- via the Südautobahn (A2) to the Pinggau exit
- at the traffic circle take the 3rd exit
- along the B54 towards Graz/Hartberg
- turn left onto Dechantskirchen
The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.
- The HWW hiking route starts in Dechantskirchen.
- It runs from Thalberg to Limbach and Heiligenbrunn.
- From there it goes via Kroisbach back to Dechantskirchen.
If you still have enough time, you can also include the HWW station in Rohrbach.
