The wonderful cottage is the former gardener's house of Villa Liechtenstein. The apartment is on the first floor of the building and has its own entrance. Here you have everything you need for your Altaussee break: A wooden staircase, typical of the Ausseer Land, takes you to the covered, lush wisteria-covered, large wooden terrace with a view of the fragrant rose garden, the stately Villa Liechtenstein and the spectacular mountain backdrop.
A stone mosaic table with four chairs is the ideal place for a morning coffee, a lovely wooden lounge chair with a local linen pattern and a comfortable sun lounger invite you to an afternoon rest. Portraits of Emperor Franz Joseph and Sissi, who fell in love in nearby Bad Ischl in 1853, greet guests as they enter the apartment.
In the spacious anteroom there is a comfortable leather armchair, a fireplace and a beautiful sideboard where you can find relevant information about the cottage and inspiration for your Altaussee vacation. From the anteroom you enter the living and dining area on the left, straight ahead is the spacious bathroom and on the right you enter the bedroom. The modern and fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. Of course you have a dishwasher, microwave and gas stove as well as a dining area with a sofa and Biedermeier furniture. The living room of the apartment is furnished with a sofa and a Vitra rocking chair. In the romantic Swiss pine alcove you will love reading your book or just letting your thoughts wander. If you are traveling with children, then there is the cot.
The equipment includes a flat-screen satellite TV and wireless Internet access via W-LAN. The spacious bedroom has a king-size bed and a separate lounge sofa. The bedroom also has a desk from which you can look directly at the breathtaking mountain scenery through the large windows. The comfortable bathroom has a shower and double sinks.
Free parking is available on the premises. You have access to a spacious terrace with two teak loungers and a spectacular view of the Dachstein. The Altausseer See is about 400 meters away, a short walk. The nearest supermarket (“Unimarkt”) is 800 meters away. You will find more shopping facilities in the neighboring town of Bad Aussee, four kilometers away.
