The Stainzerhof in the middle of Stainz is not only the perfect starting point for many activities, but also the ideal place to dine well, celebrate and stay overnight in Stainz. It now looks back on a tradition that is over 100 years old. At its address was first a Lebzelterei, later a brewery and finally already the famous Stainzerhof, which was demolished in 2010, rebuilt and reopened in April 2011.
Today, the Stainzerhof is a 4-star hotel with 45 rooms and 90 beds, an upscale inn, seminar rooms, small sauna and relaxation area and fitness center. In March 2020, the Stainzerhof changed hands and was completely renovated. With this renovation, the hotel has brought the region into the house and relies on the cooperation with the vintners of the Schilcherland. The 45 rooms are each dedicated to a theme - winegrowers of the region, grape varieties, vineyards, the Schilcherland region and the Stainzer Flascherlzug now give the rooms their names.
The restaurant "Wirtshaus im Stainzerhof" has also been redesigned in 2020 and with chef Manuel Freydl, a locally connected chef is now conjuring up all kinds of delicious regional dishes. Regionality is a very important element in the kitchen - traditional dishes are reinterpreted and even small dishes are prepared using only the best ingredients. The restaurant is a meeting place for locals and popular with young and old. Since 2020, there is also a walk-in wine chamber for guests. The terrace and the brook garden invite in summer to enjoy a few cozy moments.
In the summer of 2021, the Stainzerhof got a great addition - with multifunctional event room and a pool with associated 250 m² sun terrace on the roof, from where you can enjoy a unique view of Stainz Castle. The intensive planting gives the feeling of being in the middle of greenery, although one is in the middle of Stainz. With the expansion of the hotel, special attention is paid to the active guests, because the demand for more leisure activities is constantly increasing.
The new event room "Schlossweingarten" is 125 m² in size, can hold up to 120 people depending on seating and equipment and can be used for various occasions such as weddings, seminars, presentations, lectures and much more.
