Bürgeralm Panorama Klettersteig
The via ferrata built by Stefan Gatt & team connects several small rock formations to an interesting traverse via ferrata.
In the first half, the difficulty level ranges from A to C. Two exits also offer beginners the opportunity to get to know the via ferrata. After about half of the via ferrata, you reach the so-called "Arena", a 25 m high wall formation, in the middle of which there is an overhang of about 12 m in length. The normal via ferrata route bypasses this overhang and reaches a maximum of difficulty level D on the Austrian via ferrata scale. The "Arena Variant", on the other hand, leads directly over the large overhang and is currently considered the most difficult climbing passage in Europe, if not worldwide.
Best season: May to OctoberOverall difficulty: medium (Arena variant extreme)Ascent: 10-20 minutes, descent: 5-15 minutes, total time required: 1.5-2 hoursDifference in altitude: 90 metersBelaying: Steel rope, clamps, stirrups, a two-rope bridge, a wooden footbridge.
