"Hans in luck" Hiking fairy tale

Austria's 1st hikiing fairy tale is fun for the whole family! The tour ist also considered a top tip of the region around the mountain personality "Zirbitzkogel" and symbolizes one of the 19 leading offers on the subject of hiking in the adventure area Murau.
Equipped with a nugget of gold and a key, you can explore the story of "Hans im Glück" - at the end, freed from all burdens, the reward awaits! The starting point and end point for this hike are the Gössler or Hirschenwirt inns in Mühlen, where you can also get Hans-im-Glück hiking equipment.

Arrival from GermanyFrom Munich via the A8 in the direction of Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A10 Tauern freeway to St. Michael im Lungau. Take the B96 to Tamsweg, then continue on the B95 to Predlitz. The B97 leads via Stadl an der Mur to Murau. There in the traffic circle direction St. Lambrecht to Murau train station and further direction St. Lambrecht. Via Laßnitz near Murau you reach St. Lambrecht, which is already in the nature park. Continue towards Mariahof, there to Neumarkt, after Neumakrt and St. Marein turn left towards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen to the foam mill.

Arrival from Oberösterreich/HungaryAt the freeway junction in St. Michael bei Leoben take the S36 in the direction of Klagenfurt. Pass Knittelfeld and Judenburg until Scheifling. In Scheifling continue in the direction of Klagenfurt to Neumarkt, via Unzmarkt and Perchau am Sattel you reach Neumarkt. Drive through Neumakrt and St. Marein, then turn left torwards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen to the foam mill.

Arrival from ItalyVia Klagenfurt on the S37 past St. Veit an der Glan, Treibach and Friesach. In Friesach continue towards Vienna, via Dürnstein and Wildbad Einöd torwards Neumarkt. After the Klamm and shortly before St. Marein turn right towards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen.

In the center of Mühlen, at the Gasthaus Hirschenwirt or Gasthaus Gössler, you get a lump of gold with which “Hans” goes on his journey. The official start of the hiking fairy tale is at the Schaumühle. Signs and station huts direct you to the soul swing to the Khom riding stable in Aich. From there you have to climb the Gamsriegel. The way back leads past the Holler locksmith's shop and the Fountain of Youth, the last stop in the traveling fairy tale. Then you go home carefree and back to the Schaumühle.
