Puch Parade - Murtal Tour No. 4 Offroad

Closed
This great off-road tour leads from the Puch Museum in Judenburg in the Murtal Region via Pöls to St. Oswald near Möderbrugg further via the Sommerthörl in Gaal, Seckau to St.Marein to the Prankherwirt.
A beautiful eventful offroad tour which leads us over 1600 hm to the Sommerthörl in the Murtal Region. We start at the Puchmuseum in Judenburg and drive in the direction of Klagenfurt to the turnoff Hohentauern. Passing Pöls, Katzling we turn right to St. Oswald and drive on the developed private road - which may be used by the public in summer. The gravelled partly steep track often has some washouts and scree spots and is also limited to speed 30. The large parking lot at Sommerthörl is a popular starting point for hikers and is great for a short stop. Now we take a nice leisurely downhill into Gaal, turning left in Bischoffeld towards Seckau. In Seckau we drive through the village, past the abbey and continue towards Kobenz. Shortly before Kobenz we turn left to St. Marein and drive through the village to the crossroads towards Feistritz. Directly at the crossroads is our destination, the Prankherwirt.

A beautiful and eventful off-road tour which takes us over 1600 m up to the Sommerthörl in the Murtal region. We start at the Puchmuseum in Judenburg and ride towards Klagenfurt until the Hohentauern junction. Passing Pöls and Katzling, we turn right to St. Oswald and ride along the developed private road - which is open to the public in summer. The gravel road, which is steep in places, often has some washouts and scree and is also limited to a speed limit of 30 mph. The large parking lot at Sommerthörl is a popular starting point for hikers and is a great place for a short stop. Now it's a nice leisurely ride downhill into Gaal, turning left in Bischoffeld towards Seckau. In Seckau we ride through the village, past the abbey and on towards Kobenz. Shortly before Kobenz, we turn left towards St. Marein and ride through the village to the crossroads towards Feistritz. Our destination is the Prankherwirt right at the crossroads.
We recommend a stop at the Sommerthörl as well as at the Seckau Abbey.
