We start at the Bruder Klaus church and hike along the lake in the direction of the main road. Here we branch off to the right and follow the road to the dam wall, here we branch off to the right again and continue over the bridge to the starting point.
Another picturesque hike leads through the Schwarzwalster to the Fadental and through the Schnittlermoos back to the lake (circular hike through the Schwarzwalstern, not cleared in winter, only accessible with snowshoes).
Arthur-Krupp is commemorated by the Denkmälerweg (Monument Trail) from the Walster origin, which is adorned by 21 picture columns, monuments and statues.
On the northern shore of the lake is the Brother Klaus Church, built in 1965, which is one of the holy places of Mariazell.
