Klangwanderweg mit 14 Stationen in Altaussee

Altaussee

About the offer

The project by Austrian composer Katharina Klement Ökophonie was realized in Altaussee as part of the project OFFENE FELDER - Kunst und Landwirtschaft. From August 2022, Klement spent several weeks at Eva Schartner's Mühlberghof farm (Fischerndorf 28) and intensively explored agriculture in the region and the associated sound phenomena.
On May 13, 2023, the result of this exploration was presented: Ökophonie - jede Stimme zählt. An acoustic soil investigation presented in the form of a sound trail.

With a total of 14 stations, it will soon make the farm in Altaussee, its past, present and future, as well as the surrounding landscape, audible and tangible for everyone. The themes range from an acoustic exploration of the region's most famous mountain, the Loser, to the behavior of bees, the history of the naming of the Mühlberghof and the experience of natural forces such as wind and water:

  1. start
  2. Loser
  3. horizons
