About the serviceprovider

The project by Austrian composer Katharina Klement Ökophonie was realized in Altaussee as part of the project "OFFENE FELDER - Kunst und Landwirtschaft".

From August 2022, Klement spent several weeks at Eva Schartner's Mühlberghof farm (Fischerndorf 28) and intensively explored agriculture in the region and the associated sound phenomena.

On May 13, 2023, the result of this exploration was presented: Ökophonie - jede Stimme zählt. An acoustic soil investigation presented in the form of a sound trail.

With a total of 14 stations, the Sound Trail makes the farm in Altaussee, its past, present and future, as well as the surrounding landscape, audible and tangible for everyone:

  1. Start
  2. Loser
  3. Horizons
  4. Bees
  5. Mühlberg Farm
  6. Horses
  7. Mill
  8. WindWaterForest
  9. Identity
10. Landscape
11. Past
12. Cows
13. Lake
14. Open Space

Visitors to the stations can also become active themselves and expand the project with their own recordings. We are looking for sounds, tones, noises or linguistic messages that characterize the soundscape of the Altaussee region.
