About the serviceprovider

The Scuba Academy is located on the beautiful Grundlsee, the Styrian Sea. The diving school has been in operation since July 04, 2020.

Diving courses, guiding and trial dives are carried out with great enthusiasm with the guests. The equipment rental completes the offer.
There is also a filling station for diving tanks.

Diving makes you hungry: Sebastian Gimbel provides all divers with snacks, hot and cold drinks and ice cream.

The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course is offered here as well!

This beginner diving course can also be taken without previous diving experience and has the following content:

  • 10-12 hours of theory training (diving physics, diving safety, environment, equipment)
  • 1 pool unit or shallow water unit in the lake, in which we complete all the prescribed exercises in a safe area
  • At least 4 dives in open water - here we practise all the exercises trained in the pool or shallow water again in the "real situation". All prescribed exercises must be demonstrated here without errors in order to obtain the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver diving license
  • Final exam on theory and practice

After completing the SDI Open Water Diver course, you are entitled to make dives to a maximum depth of 18 meters, always together with at least 1 diving partner, which must be carried out as so-called no-decompression dives for safety reasons, as well as with normal compressed air.

After successfully completing the exams, you will receive your personal SDI Open Water Scuba Diver ID Card. With this small card in cheque card format, you are then entitled to go diving or hire diving equipment worldwide.
