The healing effect of the special gentle climate in St. Radegund was already appreciated during the monarchy. Today, St. Radegund offers state-of-the-art health facilities such as the St. Radegund Special Hospital, which is one of the pioneers of cardiological rehabilitation and impresses with Graz's local mountain, the Schöckl.
In addition to the healing effect of the special gentle climate in St. Radegund, exercise in the idyllic landscape also contributes to recovery. Here in Hügel- & Schöcklland there are a wide variety of ways to spend your leisure time. The spring paths around the village center, the St. Radegund Kneipp meditation path, the Doktorteich pond or the Kalvarienberg are just some of the many opportunities to spend relaxing hours in nature. Many paths - one destination: the summit cross of Graz's local mountain Schöckl at 1,445 m above sea level can be climbed on foot or by mountain bike. Connoisseurs prefer to take the Schöckl cable car to finally enjoy the sweeping views. However, the Schöckl is not a mountain that you only climb to descend again, there is plenty to do, enjoy and see up here: Paragliding and hang-gliding, disc golf, a motor skills park, inns, huts and of course the Hexenexpress, a 1,000-meter-long summer toboggan run for the very brave.
