More information

Arriving from the west:

From the west you can take the Munich-Salzburg motorway, continuing on the Tauern motorway (A 10) until the Ennstal junction. From here take the Ennstal A-road (the B 320) for around 30 km into the Schladming-Dachstein region, then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off.

Arriving from the north:

From the south-east take the Pyhrnautobahn motorway (A 9) to the Liezen junction and then the Ennstal A-road (B 320) into the Schladming-Dachstein region. Then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off.

Over the plateau to the valley station of the glacier cable car. Due to the different start and finish points, public transport is recommended.

From the mountain station, head north to the Gjaidsteinsattel. Here you follow the groomed path to the mountain station of the former 2-seater chairlift and from there follow the marker no. 674 to the valley station. There, the marked path leads you up and down in a southeasterly direction over the barren karst landscape. After about 1.5 hours from the valley station of the chairlift, you reach the Feistererscharte where you have a wonderful view of the Guttenberghaus and the Schladminger Tauern in the South. The path then leads downhill over 1,000 meters to Ramsau.

From Schladming train station, take bus number 960 to the valley station of the glacier cable car. From the end point at the Hotel Feisterer, take the road downhill (5 minutes) to the bus stop for number 964 (with connection to number 960) or walk from the Hotel Feisterer to Ramsau Kulm (approx. 20 minutes) directly to the stop for number 960.
