Vom Preiner Gscheid auf die Hohe Scheibe im Naturpark Mürzer Oberland

Vom Preiner Gscheid geht es wenige Meter in Richtung NÖ, eher der gut markierte Weg rechts in den Wald abzweigt. Nun über einen Steig durch den Hochwald und über Lichtungen (hinter uns die Südseite der Rax, speziell in der Früh mit einer herrlichen Sonnenbeleuchtung) immer in südlicher Richtung bis zur Paulinenquelle.

Bald danach nicht der Abzweigung nach links zum Drahte (Tratten) kogel folgen, sondern in westlicher Richtung, zuletzt auf einem Forstweg, zur Hohen Scheibe (Gipfelkreuz, Schutzhütte).

Hier kann nun auch nach Mürzzuschlag abgestiegen (ca. 1 1/2 - 2 Stunden) oder wieder am Aufstiegsweg retourgewandert werden.
